Leaders Forge Stronger Ties in Solidarity Pact Ceremony at Camp Quentin Merecido

Davao City – February 5, 2025 – Key officials from election bodies, law enforcement, and the military gathered at Camp Quentin Merecido in Buhangin, Davao City, for a Solidarity Pact Ceremony, reinforcing their commitment to secure, peaceful, and fair elections. The event was led by PBGEN Leon Victor Rosete, Regional Director of PRO 11, and Major General Allan Hambala, Commander of the 10th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, with COMMO Rejard V. Marfe, PCG-Southeastern Mindanao, also playing a key role in the event.
Atty. Michael C. Abas, Regional Election Director, served as the guest of honor, emphasizing the critical role of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in ensuring electoral integrity. His presence and remarks underscored COMELEC’s unwavering dedication to upholding a fair, transparent, and credible electoral process.
Charissa T. Guerta, CESO V, Assistant Regional Director and Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) XI Manager, also attended, contributing to the strengthening of multi-sectoral collaboration to ensure peaceful elections.
Academic and civil society representatives also played a crucial role in the event. Eminel Jane M. Alvior, Director of the Ateneo de Davao University’s Ateneo Resource Center for Local Governance (ARCLG) and Blue Vote Director, represented Fr. Kim Lachica, S.J., the current coordinator for the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL). Department of Education (DepEd) and COMELEC officials were also in attendance.
The signing of the solidarity pact marks a unified effort to uphold democratic principles and strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration in safeguarding the upcoming electoral process.
